When am I eligible for placement?

A student is eligible when the following criteria are satisfied:

What happens after I get my first job?

There are two possibilities:

1. The student has got his/her dream job

In this case, the student cannot sit for further placement and is only eligible to sit for "OPEN" (refer : open ) companies.

2. The student has got a non-dream job

In this case, the student is eligible to sit for his/her Dream job or "OPEN" (refer : open ) companies.

When is a student OUT OF PLACEMENT ?

A student is OUT OF PLACEMENT when he/she fulfils any one of the criteria :

When is a student blacklisted?

A student is blacklisted if he/she fails to comply with the rules of the Placement Department. In such an event, the student shall be debarred from further placement and their existing job offers will be cancelled.

How to convert CGPA into percentage ?

For students under the 4-point credit system, the procedure is CGPA*18+20=Equivalent percentage

Eg: If CGPA is 3.00, then the equivalent percentage = 3.00*18+30=74%

For students under the 10-point grading system, the procedure is CGPA*9.3=Equivalent percentage

Eg: If CGPA is 9.00, then the equivalent percentage = 9.00*9.3=83.7%

What are Open Companies?

When a Company is declared OPEN, it means that all students who do not have two jobs can participate in the placement procedure for this particular company.
